Overview
Inspecting the Ponds documents the daily labor and living conditions of clam farmers in Qigu, Tainan, under Taiwan's fishery-solar symbiosis policy. Through pond patrols, seeding, harvesting, and post-typhoon recovery, the film follows Mr. Tsai and Ms. Lin's aquaculture lives, portraying how the arrival of solar development has gradually transformed the relationship between people and the land, and how farmers continue to make choices amid uncertainty and survival.
